Hi everyone,
A couple of months ago, I posted that I was unable to install Flash 10 on my computer. I'd get the "Installation complete" message, but when I would try to use sites that require Flash 10, they would still tell me that I didn't have it. One day, I asked my mom to see if there was anything on the screen during the installation process that JAWS wasn't reading. Apparently, the installation could not finish because AIM and Windows Messenger were running. AIM runs from Start-up, though I usually close it right away. Windows Messenger doesn't pop up at start-up, but it seems it's always running. I can probably turn off AIM's automatic run option, but I couldn't figure out how to do so with Windows Messenger, and as far as I know, I can't just uninstall it. Any suggestions on what I should do? I think I may be encountering this problem with other programs I've tried to install, and I'd like to take care of it.
Thanks,
Becky
that shouldn't be an issue i'd don't think, i've had both of those running when i've gone to install flash before, no problems at all. the latest flash version is not workable by the blind though, it's installer is near impossible to use.
